Since the start of the Covid pandemic, services at the US Embassy in Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv Branch office have been considerably curtailed. For instance, adult passport renewals can no longer be made in person. They must be submitted via mail or dropbox.
Until now, this process required payment with a US bank check, which is not always easily obtained. As of today, the Jerusalem Embassy and Tel Aviv Branch Office have begun accepting online fee payments for adult U.S. passport book renewal applications. Bank checks will no longer be required or accepted.
We salute the Embassy for establishing this new system, which will significantly streamline the renewal process. Visit the Embassy’s Passport Renewal webpage to determine if you are eligible for online fee payment. See Chaim V’Chessed’s US passport guide for information on passport renewals.
