As reported earlier this week, several Red (Highest Risk) countries will change to Orange (High Risk) on August 16. These include countries such as England, South Africa and Russia.
During the time that these countries have featured on the Red list, visa holders from these locations have largely been prevented from entering Israel. Numerous students and other visa holders found themselves stranded in England and similar countries, due to this ban.
Now, Chaim V’Chessed has learned that, beginning August 16, visa holders will once be allowed to enter Israel. This relates to all A class visas, as well as B1 and B4 visas. Special permits will not be needed. New students seeking to enter Israel from these locations should contact their institutions.
Our thanks to the indefatigable Rabbi Nechemya Malinowitz of the Igud for arranging this new policy.
