Simcha Entry Permits Still Being Issued

As first reported by Chaim V’Chessed, the process for entry of students to Israel was abruptly suspended on Thursday, September 17. At the time, it was unclear whether other entry permits to Israel, such as for births, weddings and bar/bat mitzvas, would cease to be issued, as well.

Over the past few days, Chaim V’Chessed CEO, Rabbi Paysach Freedman dialogued with a senior official in the Foreign Ministry on this matter. Now, the official has confirmed that permits for exceptional circumstances will continue to be issued.

See here to learn more about how to apply for permits in exceptional circumstances, such as births, weddings and bar/bat mitzvas.
