Avi Tenenbaum, MA CASAP, is an expert in Disaster Behavioral Health and Psychological First Aid. In this special session for English speakers, Avi addresses the concerns of families in Israel contending with the ongoing war.
Avi discusses how to validate the fears that parents may experience regarding their family members, while simultaneously supporting them. He addresses the need to show your loved ones how much you care without overly amplifying fears. Furthermore, he instructs on how to recognize which support each member of your family needs.

Hi (NAME) How you doing? I’m helping out with a campaign for an organization here in Israel that really means a lot to me, I’ve actually been helped personally by this organization – when (INSERT PERSONAL STORY?!) which is why I agreed to help them raise funds so they continue their important work. The organization is called Chaim V’Chessed. Maybe you’ve heard of them. They help English-speakers in Israel, whether tourists or residents, to navigate all kinds of challenges and crises. They help with travel, medical, educational and bureaucratic crises. They are literally lifesavers. You can imagine how busy they have been since the war broke out, and how many crises they have been helping with. Here’s a short video to give you an idea of what they’ve been doing. If you are able to support them, it would mean so much to me!! I know there really are a lot of great causes out there, but if you can help me out with this cause, I’d really appreciate. Here’s the link to my page. Thank you, thank you!!!
