Since the start of the stringent lockdown, outbound travel thru Ben Gurion Airport has been restricted. Passengers are only permitted to depart on flights if their tickets were purchased prior to September 26. Alternatively, in urgent cases, one can apply for humanitarian permission to leave, via this link.
Passengers are frequently asked to provide proof that their ticket was purchased prior to September 26. This is mostly enforced by airport guards at the entrance to the terminal; airline staff generally do not inquire. It is quite unclear what constitutes sufficient evidence of purchase date of your ticket. Chaim V’Chessed has received troubling reports of unnecessary harassment of passengers over this topic. We have reached out to Ben Gurion Airport officials who have confessed that they too do not know what actually constitutes proof. If you have clear evidence, such as emails demonstrating your purchase date, make sure to bring that along.
Next, this form is now required to be filled out by all passengers. It should be printed and brought along.
Lastly, as has been the case for nearly two months, this Health Declaration must be filled out by each departing passenger.
THIS INFORMATION IS ACCURATE AS OF FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2.
