Foreigner Ban Extended until June 15

On Wednesday, May 20, the Israeli government, once again, extended the ban on foreigners entering the country. The ban will stay in effect until at least June 15.

Several airlines had previously announced plans of resuming flights to Israel in early June. It is still unknown if these plans will proceed despite the extended ban.

Persons whose center of life is in Israel, such as student visa holders, should be permitted to enter Israel. However, they continue to encounter difficulties entering Israel. Chaim V’Chessed continues to advocate for reasonable regulations to be established which will allow such people to return to their homes in Israel.
