Foreigner Ban Extended Again, Causing Misconceptions

On Wednesday, June 10, the Israeli government, once again, extended the ban on foreigners entering the country. The ban will stay in effect until at least July 1.

In light of reports which stated that Israel is banning foreigners, rumors abounded that Israel was ending the nascent program which has allowed student visa families to enter Israel. Frantic callers contacted Chaim V’Chessed, fearing that their permission to enter Israel would be revoked, just as it had been suddenly cancelled last week for single yeshiva students.

Chaim V’Chessed reached out to our government contacts, who assured us that the process for student visa families remains unchanged, for the time being.
