As we publicized previously this week, as of Thursday, March 12, Israel barred entry to all foreign citizens, except under certain circumstances. Earlier this week we detailed the special permit required for for foreigners seeking to enter Israel. See the guidance, issued by MK Yisrael Eichler, at our behest.
However, as of Wednesday March 18, the Interior Ministry has barred ALL foreigners from entering Israel. Seemingly, this includes foreign residents of Israel, including those who own homes and student visa holders. We are currently in talks with government officials to determine what, if any exceptions will be granted.
We believe that travelers who are already airborne may be permitted to enter. Travelers who have already received entry permits may be allowed to fly; however, this is not yet certain.
