English speaking parents in Israel might have it hard, but that doesn’t stop most parents from doing their best – even when it means going way out of their comfort zone. But parents of special needs children are at a huge disadvantage. It’s complicated to communicate their needs and they struggle to grasp what professionals have to say. They’re also unfamiliar with placement options and don’t know where to start looking.
At Chaim V’Chessed’s Special Education department, we take the time to make each parent feel understood and to give them the direction they so desperately need. To date, hundreds of parents have been guided by our devoted staff to ensure that their children were placed in the settings most conducive to their growth. We also help parents take advantage of the benefits coming to them from government funds like National Insurance and kupat cholim. We call it a hotline; parents call it a lifeline. Chaim V’Chessed. We’re here for you.
