Difficulties Obtaining Entry Permits

As of last week, yeshivas and institutions have been obtaining entry permits for student visas holders who reside in Israel. We once again thank the Interior Ministry officials who have made this process possible.

At the same time, numerous difficulties are being encountered. These include newborn children who do not have visas and persons with expired visas. Another common issue has been occurring with students whose visa was issued while studying in one institution yet have since moved on to learn in a different one. When their current institution applies on their behalf, they have been rejected, since the Misrad HaPnim does not view the student as registered with the current institution.

Chaim V’Chessed representatives continue to liaison with the relevant authorities to solve these ongoing problems. We will issue updates as soon as there are resolutions to these obstacles.
