Advancements in Special Education & Mental Health This Month

We’re always excited to meet good people doing good things, especially if it means we can work together to do even better things. This past month, our Special Education and Mental Health departments met with various government officials, organizations and professionals that aim, in their respective realms, to assist English speakers in Eretz Yisrael. We look forward to utilizing these newfound connections and friendships as we work together to better help the English speaking community.

 Vaadot Hasamah in Iriyat Yerushalayim

Chaim V’Chessed’s Special Education department met with the director of vaadat hasamah (special education placement committee) in Iriyat Yerushalayim to discuss working together to better service the English-speaking community.

   Amudim

This month, Chaim V’Chessed met with founders of the Israel branch of this acclaimed US-based organization, which was recently established to offer referrals and case management to English speakers in the field of mental health.

   MILAM

Our Mental Health department met with an English speaking social worker at MILAM, the family counseling service of Enosh, which provides support and case management for those with mental illness and their family members.

   Ezer Mizion

Ezer Mizion is a health support organization that offers numerous medical and social support services. In our meeting with their mental health department this month, Chaim V’Chessed gained insight into the work they do and how our clientele can best utilize their services.

   Yedidim

Our Special Education & Children’s Therapies department shares an ongoing working relationship with Yedidim, an organization that provides parental guidance and youth mentoring in Israel’s Anglo community. This month, Chaim V’Chessed met with professionals at Yedidim’s parental guidance center.
