Maanak Avodah is an annual grant provided by the Israel Tax Authority to help supplement the income of eligible working individuals. Although foreign residents of Israel are fully entitled to this benefit, many encounter significant challenges when applying, submitting documentation, and following up on their claims.
With the December 31 deadline for the 2023 Maanak Avodah quickly approaching, Chaim V’Chessed, in conjunction with the Israel Tax Authority, will host a special assistance event to help ensure that eligible community members do not miss out on this important benefit.
During the event, officials from the Israel Tax Authority will be present at the Chaim V’Chessed offices, working together with Chaim V’Chessed staff to provide hands-on assistance. Participants will receive help completing and submitting their Maanak Avodah applications, as well as support in tracking and following up on existing applications. Due to the urgency of the 2023 deadline, priority will be given to individuals applying for the 2023 Maanak Avodah, though the event will remain open to others who need assistance with different filing years or related matters, as space allows.
In addition, participants will be able to receive guidance regarding Ma’anak Pe’utot, a new grant for working parents of toddlers, which provides additional financial benefits beyond the standard Maanak Avodah. Eligible parents may receive close to 500 NIS monthly from this benefit. Notably, the income threshold for eligibility for Ma’anak Pe’utot is higher than that of Maanak Avodah, meaning many families who may not qualify for the standard grant could still be eligible for this generous benefit. Assistance with Ma’anak Pe’utot applications and eligibility checks will also be available at the event.
This joint initiative reflects the shared commitment of Chaim V’Chessed and the Israel Tax Authority to improving access, reducing barriers, and ensuring that foreign residents receive the benefits to which they are entitled.
Community members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to apply with confidence and receive direct guidance from both organizations.
