Chaim V’Chessed has issued an urgent joint statement, together with Agudath Israel of America, Amudim, and the Igud Hayeshivos, addressing the current crisis in Israel and the difficulties facing foreigners trying to leave the country.
The statement comes as Israeli airspace remains largely closed, stranding thousands of tourists, yeshiva and seminary students, and others with urgent needs.
The letter shares preliminary encouraging news: repatriation flights into Israel have resumed, and departures for tourists are expected to begin shortly. Further details will be released in the coming days.
Chaim V’Chessed and its partners have been in direct contact with Israeli and U.S. government officials, as well as embassy personnel, to explore every possible avenue for safe departures.
The statement also includes guidance for those considering alternate routes out of Israel, such as via Cyprus, Egypt, or Jordan.
Travelers are advised to stay informed, follow all instructions, and be prepared to travel on short notice.
