Updates » The Misrad Hapnim Credit Card Dilemma

The Misrad Hapnim Credit Card Dilemma

You might need an Israeli debit or credit card.

As of July 1, 2019, Misrad Hapnim only accepts payment via Israeli debit or credit card – no cash or checks accepted. Payments have to be made for dapei knisot v’yetziot, passports, teudot zehut, passports and more.

As many community members do not hold Israeli-sourced credit cards, Chaim V’Chessed is currently advocating for change in this matter.

Until a change is made, if you do not have an Israeli debit or credit card of your own and you need to pay for a Misrad Hapnim activity, you can go to the Doar (post office) and purchase a prepaid debit card to use for this purpose.
