Many parents of young children have questions regarding their child’s development:
“Is his behavior age-appropriate?”
“Is she communicating poorly?”
“The ganenet raised concerns but I’m not sure she’s right…”
In our latest venture for the benefit of English-speaking families in Israel, on Wednesday, December 27, Chaim V’Chessed will host an informative evening for mothers on child development. The event will be held in conjunction with the Jerusalem Municipality and the Minhal Kehilati of Romema.
The keynote address will be given by Mrs. Malky Lefkowitz. Mrs. Lefkowitz is a daughter of the late Rebbetzin Yitty Neustadt a”h, and a dynamic speaker in her own right. Her presentation will be entitled Experience the Beauty of Raising your Children in Eretz Yisrael.
Attendees will learn about normal developmental milestones and how to identify when a child might need intervention. This session will be presented by Chaim V’Chessed’s Mrs. Dvora Grossbaum and Mrs. Vida Rier, one of the most veteran occupational therapists in Jerusalem. A kupat cholim representative will advise about Hitpatchut HaYeled and related services. Lastly, Mrs. Rivka Yaffe of the Education Ministry will provide guidance on placement in special education institutions, when needed.
The event will be held on Wednesday, December 27 at the Minhal Kehilati of Romema. Though information and resources will be geared to mothers of preschool-aged children, all mothers are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited and the event is expected to fill up fast. Advanced registration is required at this link.
