Updated Process for Quarantine Exemptions

On October 12, the Health Ministry announced a process for obtaining quarantine exemptions based on serological (antibodies) tests. However, as of October 19, this process has been suspended. The serological exemption process may be reinstated after December 15.

Hence, the following is currently the only process to request an exemption from quarantine. Even if you are eligible, each passenger must enter quarantine upon arriving in Israel, until he or she receives an exemption from the Ministry of Health. This process is at the discretion of the Health Ministry, meaning they can decide whether or not to grant this exemption.

To request an exemption, the traveler must have recovered from Covid 19 more than 10 days prior to arrival in Israel. Bring a medical summary detailing illness and recovery at least 10 days before your flight.

Provide PCR tests proving the passenger was positive, and then negative for Corona.

Travelers providing this will need either a negative PCR test performed in Israel, or a letter from an Israeli doctor certifying that the traveler has recovered from Covid.

Once you have one of the above, download and fill out this online form. Fill out a separate form for each family member.

You will receive any immediate email response that your  form was successfully filed. This email is not an exemption from quarantine. Hopefully, within 48 hours you will receive a followup email stating that you are released from quarantine. Until you receive a written exemption from the Health Ministry, you must remain in quarantine.

THE REGULATIONS FOR THIS PROCESS CHANGE FREQUENTLY, THIS IS THE MOST CURRENT INFORMATION WE HAVE.
