Who Must Go into Isolation:
Only confirmed COVID cases, namely, those who tested positive to COVID, are required to enter isolation.
As of 23.5.2022, isolation is no longer required in the following cases (regardless of vaccination or recovery):
• Those who have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID case
• Those who live with a confirmed case, even if it is a helpless individual
• Those who accompany a patient in isolation
After Testing Positive for Corona:
- You are required to stay in isolation for at least 5 days (the day of the test is the 1st day of isolation).
- A home antigen test must be taken on the 4th evening of isolation.
- A home antigen test must be taken on the 5th evening of isolation.
If the results of both home tests are negative, and you have been asymptomatic for 48 hours – you can leave isolation at the end of day 5.
If the result of either test is positive – you are required to stay in isolation until the end of day 7, but are not required to take another test. You can leave the isolation site after receipt of a certificate of recovery from your physician or Kupat Cholim.
If the result of one of the tests is positive, isolation is required until the end of the seventh day and the Kupat Cholim must be notified but there is no need for an additional test. Isolation can be discontinued at the end of the seventh day provided no symptoms have appeared for 48 hours prior.
A Kupat Cholim member may obtain a recovery letter from their Kupat Cholim. The recovery letter will automatically be issued after midnight following Day 7. This can be accessed from your online account or through your local branch. Please note, until a release letter is generated, you may have difficulty leaving the country.
